Did you get a new puppy? Why wait until they're a year or older to start service dog training? Don’t let bad puppy behaviors develop. Start early with the Mind Your Manners Puppy Service Dog In Training Program—it’s the right choice for you and your puppy.

We start training as early as 12 weeks old. By beginning early, we can focus on potty training and prevent bad habits from forming. The program includes our Puppy Head Start Program, which addresses common puppy issues such as:

• Nipping
• Mouthing
• Barking
• Jumping
• Chewing
• Potty Training
• Whining

Our comprehensive approach ensures your puppy is well-behaved and ready to start service dog training.

This program is designed to give your puppy the foundational skills needed to be a service dog. It’s divided into two phases:

• Teaching your puppy to walk calmly on a leash
• Potty training (ensuring your puppy does not go potty in stores or public places)
• Socializing with people and other dogs
• Basic obedience commands (sit, stay, come, down, etc.)
• Preventing jumping on people

• Exposing your puppy to public environments such as stores, elevators, escalators, and restaurants
• Teaching your puppy how to behave in these environments (no jumping, no potty accidents)
• Providing experiences that help them grow accustomed to service dog tasks

At the end of the 4-week program, your puppy will be ready to go home. You’ll receive a vest, badges, and certificates, with your puppy’s training officially registered online.

Once your puppy reaches 1 ½ years old and has matured, you can return for further training to specialize in the tasks you’d like your puppy to perform as a service dog.
